Equality and Inclusion
Cambridgeshire has a diverse community and we are dedicated to developing a representative workforce. As an example more than 45% of the Peterborough community have identified themselves as belonging to Asian, black, mixed or other ethnic groups.
Cambridgeshire Constabulary is an equal opportunities employer and encourages people from a variety of backgrounds to apply. This includes applications from ethnic minority groups, people with disabilities and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
- Positive Action seeks to encourage applications from those in under-represented groups, using a range of measures and initiatives
- The selection procedure is no different and the success of applicants is based solely on merit
Staff Support Networks
The Staff Support Networks were set up to share common concerns, issues, experiences and solutions.
Cambridgeshire Constabulary has a variety of staff support networks including UNITY, to support staff from minority ethnic backgrounds, FUSION the womens network, the Disability Support Network, LGBT Network and faith groups.
